New appointments at Qala Parish

The Bishop of Gozo, Anton Teuma has appointed Mons. Edward Xuereb as the new archpriest of the parish of the Immaculate Conception and St Joseph in our community. His Excellency also appointed Fr Michael Said as our new parish collaborator.

On behalf of Radju Leħen il-Qala we would like to thank Fr Ignatius Borg and Fr Noel Debono who have served the Qala community as archpriest and parish collaborator respectively for the past 7 years. Both have provided invaluable support to the Qala community and to all those that reached out for spiritual guidance and help. We wish Archpriest Borg all the best for the new mission assigned to him by our Bishop as Rector of the Community of the Good Shepherd, Victoria, and Director of the residence for priests within the same Pastoral Centre. We also congratulate Fr Noel as parish collaborator at Munxar parish.

Moreover, Radju Leħen il-Qala congratulates Fr Krystof Buttigieg from Qala who was appointed Parish Vicar in the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Zebbug, as well as assisting in the Catechetical Office in the Diocesan Curia. Fr Krystof returns back to Gozo after spending the past 10 years studying and doing pastoral work in Italy.
